Trains That Passed

By Edona Dzemaili

Trains That Passed

I can feel my face
Hardening
As I realise I’ve opened
up too far
The words that came out
Before
Echo in my mind
They now scream the truth that
I deny
That all I have in this
world is my own
smile
The smile I put on in
situations like this
I aim and very much miss
The target is happiness
and joy
But oh no what I receive
is not that at all
How can I say I am happy
inside
When all I fantasize
about
are different ways to say
“For you I cried”
