The Illusion of Truth

By Lynette Zander

When a thought

becomes familiar to me

it surpasses

my conscious filters

allowing uncensored

penetration

to my subconscious

Whatever I focus on

on a deep

subconscious level

is what I will get

wether it is good or bad

If I repeat something

tell myself something

over and over

day after day

in my mind

It becomes truer

more valid

and the more valid

I think something is

the more I am

persuaded by it

wether it is good or bad
