Silence

By Charlotte Nitschke

I get you want to fix me

Make me not-broken

But you can’t

And you won’t

When I come to you

I need you to listen

Not to give me solutions

To the problem

I need you to give me silence

So I can speak without being

Interrupted, and you

Don’t always understand this

I need silence

Read that again

I need you to be silent

stormy
