Ocean

Ocean

She may know much but not all
So
When she comes tell her to take me with her
Tell the her once she has taken me I can draw out her sadness and turn it into love
Tell her she must trust me
For I cannot
I cannot look at her and say these things
Because in her eyes the reply will be the same as last
‘Child go home and stay home there is no place for you’
I scream inside
She knows not that I know her struggle
The calm, the rage, the trashing and the eventual crashing
Tell her to let me be there for her
Tell her to let me ride through the turbulence of emotions
Surrounded by our need for harmony
Grappling with the storm
Befriending our loneliness
Keeping safe from the falsities of our shared reality
I know she is suffocating
Just like I once was
Tell her
I can see her pain
