Dissociative Identity Disorder (D.I.D)

By Ineke Hill

DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER (D.I.D.)
(disappearance of one personality and emergence of multiple personalities)

… just when I thought all’s NOT well …
I find ALL IS WELL.
Many fragmented parts prevail.

Filling the well of memoirs;
glad, sad, good and bad.

Although I denied I had D.I.D.
I now gather I have D.I.D.
An open wound subconsciously
but a closed wound consciously
and sometimes there for all to see.
Eventually … it has come to pass
that every thought was created to last.

I’ve tried to fill the well with Gang Members.
They constantly swell to feel the will
‘til the well is full to the brim.
My yesterdays are long gone
but I look forward to more days
of many forgotten memories –
activated, shared and safely recalled.

Filling the well is deeply
swelled with crushing fear.

… just when I thought all’s NOT well …
I find ALL IS WELL.
Clutches of association.
