Want to contribute your thoughts or creativity and become part of the mindshare community?

mindshare welcomes all original creative work, as long as it is yours. You can be someone living with a mental illness, a relative, friend, carer or someone who is working in the mental health sector.

We are actively seeking the following original works for the site:

  • music recordings
  • short stories or poetry
  • photographs
  • photos of your art work
  • blogs about whatever takes your fancy
  • podcasts
  • short documentaries or films

What & How to Submit Content

WRITTEN TEXT for blogs, short stories or poems may be sent in by email. You can directly copy the text into the email body, or attach it as a word document. Please provide a royalty-free image to accompany your piece, unless you're happy for us to do so, and let us know which categories to file under: prose, poetry, non-fiction.

IMAGES of artwork may be emailed in, preferably in a jpg, png, pdf or gif format. The size should be no larger than 1MB. You may also post them to us via mail on a USB stick. Please let us know which categories to file under: painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture and installation.

FILM needs to be loaded on either Vimeo or YouTube and we ask you to send us the URL for your uploaded video so we can embed it on our site. If your film is not already on the internet please post it in on a USB and we can upload it for you. Please let us know which categories to file under: creative, narrative, documentary.

AUDIO may be sent via email or on a USB. Files should be no larger than 1MB and most formats are acceptable. If your work is available on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Triple J Unearthed, or a separate site, please simply send us the URL for embedding. If you are contributing a song with a video clip, we can embed it under both audio and video. Please provide a royalty-free image to accompany your post, unless you're happy for us to do so, and let us know which categories to file under: music, podcasts, storytelling, soundscapes.

We ask that you provide us with the piece’s title and the artist’s full name, along with personal contact details of a phone number, your website and an email address. Artist biographies and statements about the work may also be included. If you wish for your work to be published under a pseudonym please let us know.

Contributor Registration

mindshare requires you to fill in a one-off registration form to take part in the site. Once submitted, this form will be sent to our editorial team for filing.
